LAUTECH EMBACKS ON STRIKE

Lautech has embacked on a 90days strike and there was a failure to resolve the proposed strike after a previous warning strike which lasted for a week. Hot news gatthered that the V.C tried to resolve the issue by parsuading the lecturers not to join in the strike today in a meeting which started around 10a.m this morning. The V.C proposed increasing the school fees to #80,000 if the lecturers didn't embark on the strike. But it was gathered that the lecturers where more concerned about the financial state of the students by asking if the V.C will reduce the money if the agreement was signed but he told the lecturers that he will not do that and after much disagreement he decided to reduce it to #65,000 but the lecturers disagreed totally and decided the strike will be better off to the increament of the school fees. The school fees was increased from #6000 to #45,000 last year and which has caused most student their academic rights.
