Hit the ol' Google search.... The paid for ads will be on top. If you click on these you may get a good site but not necessarily. The first two pages of search usually have the most prominent listings. Obviously with such a general search , you will come up with a variety of ticket options. A more specific search will return a more focused spread. So let's assume we specifically are looking for concert tickets.

   Look over the paid-for-ads and see if anything interests you. These adverts are pay per click therefore the advertiser will want to have something on the other end relevant to the search.

If you do this you'll get a number of dot coms that sell tickets online, for example and not endorsing them, (http://www.gotickets.com, http://tickets.cheaptickets.com, http://www.stubsearch.com/). Unfortunately a lot, if not most of them, are brokers and buy up tickets right when they go on sale and re-sell them for a profit.

   Compare three or four of them with your specific concert search. Whatever artist, band, comedian you're looking for.

   Buyer beware...Go with high rated sellers, usually the ones that have a lot of feedback and lots of sales.

   Order online and wait for your tickets. Usually they offer tracking numbers and insurance (separate fee). This is highly recommend.

 Tips

• Again whether cheaper or not, take the time to do a little research and be careful when buying. If the seller takes Paypal all the better.

Warnings

• Keep track of your bought tickets and contact the seller if you aren't getting the tickets in the agreed time frame. Sometimes a quick email saves you from missing that concert.
• Beware sellers that can't be found on a website, one liners on a classifieds.
