ASUP Strike Update: Minister Of Education assures Strike Would Soon Be Resolved

Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike today, 12th April said that the strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnics, ASUP and Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union, COEASU would soon be resolved

While answering questions from journalists, Wike assured that the government would soon resolve all lingering strikes in the education sector.

Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics has been on strike since October 2013 while the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union has also been on industrial action since December 2013.

Wike said, “No government will be happy that students are roaming the street. We must promise what is practicable. Not just making promises without fulfilling them. Be rest assured that it will be resolved.”
