The remains of Second Republic Minister of Transport, Alhaji Umaru Dikko, will be buried on Wednesday in his home town, Zaria in Kaduna State.
A family source, who spoke to our correspondent on Tuesday, said the body of the once flamboyant politician, who died on Monday in a London hospital of an undisclosed ailment, would arrive in Nigeria on Tuesday night.
Dikko, until his death, a chief of the Peoples Democratic Party, would be remembered for surviving an attempt by the Muhammadu Buhari’s military regime to forcibly bring him to Nigeria from the United Kingdom in a crate to face alleged corruption charges in 1984.
