NIIT scholarship test gets July date

Global talent development corporation, NIIT, has said it will hold its 15th NIIT Nigeria Scholarship on July 12 this year.

This, the firm said in a statement on Monday, was aimed at rewarding meritorious students desirous of building successful careers in fast- evolving Information Technology sector in the country.

It said, “With a thrust on creating skilled manpower for the Nigeria IT industry, the NIIT Nigeria scholarship will help students to get skilled for a global career in IT through training in technology.

“For the first time, scholarship will also be offered for new-age GNIIT programme.”

The Vice-President, International Business, NIIT Limited, Mr. Sanjay Tickoo, was quoted in the statement as saying that, “The scholarship is an integral part of the NIIT’S commitment to encourage meritorious students of the country to build a successful career in the IT. Over the last 15 years, NIIT has created a pool of job-ready professionals, for the fast-growing IT industry in Nigeria. We are now pleased to introduce new age GNIIT to offer multiple career options to the students.”
