RUGIPO Students Protest Fee Hike

The students of Rufus Giwa Poly have embarked on a peaceful protest to agitate the hike in fees and the “no school fees payment, no test” order from the school authorities.

The tuition fees were increased from N21, 300.00 to 58,300.00 for students in National Diploma in sciences and an additional N20, 00.00 for non-indigenes making it N73, 000.00.

The students have earlier met with the management of the institution for negotiation, which apparently yielded no result hence their reason to take to the streets to protest the hike.

Presently the students have blocked the school’s main gate and Owo-Abuja expressway and the office of the rector is under locks.
