2016/2017 PTDF Scholarship Scheme (OVERSEAS & LOCAL)
The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is a parastatal of the
Ministry of Petroleum Resources established by Decree 25 of 1973 for the
purpose of developing and promoting petroleum technology and for
creating the manpower needs of the oil and gas industry through research
and training of Nigerians.
To ensure a steadfast implementation of this mandate, PTDF is inviting
applications from suitably qualified candidates for Overseas and
in-Country MSc and PhD Scholarships. Awarded will be granted for studies
in the 2016/2017 academic session in the United Kingdom Germany,

The above scholarship amount includes an amount designated for the payment of accommodation costs.Costs of accommodation, food and public transport are covered by scholarship holders from the scholarship under the same conditions that apply to students who are citizens of the CR. Should healthcare exceeding standard care be required by the student, s/he shall cover it at his/her own cost. Travel expenses for travelling to the Czech Republic and back to the student’s home country are paid by the party that nominated the student to study in the CR or by the foreign national at his/her own cost.
Notification: If the application has been accepted and may proceed to the next round of the selection procedure, the Mission shall ask the selected applicants to attend an interview. 2016 Honjo International Scholarship for Foreign Students – Nigerians Eligible
Applications are invited for Honjo International scholarships available
for foreign students to attend a graduate school at a Japanese

BUK To Admit 25% of Candidates that Participated in Its 2015/2016 Post-UTME
The Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano, Prof. Muhammad Yahuza
Bello, has disclosed that the institution will admit only 25% of
admission seekers this year.
Bayero University Kano (BUK) will admit about twenty five per cent of this year’s post-UTME candidates seeking admission into the institution.
According to him, over 20,000 candidates out of the several thousands who have chosen BUK as their first choice scored the minimum 180 points in their JAMB UTME.
He further stated that all those who sat and passed the minimum PUTME points of 160 would be automatically admitted, but not necessarily the course of their choice.
Adding that over 700 out of those that applied for MBBS have all passed the exams, but the admission capacity for the programme was just 130, therefore the remaining candidates would be sent to other science related courses and this applies to all programmes.

According to him, over 20,000 candidates out of the several thousands who have chosen BUK as their first choice scored the minimum 180 points in their JAMB UTME.
He further stated that all those who sat and passed the minimum PUTME points of 160 would be automatically admitted, but not necessarily the course of their choice.
Adding that over 700 out of those that applied for MBBS have all passed the exams, but the admission capacity for the programme was just 130, therefore the remaining candidates would be sent to other science related courses and this applies to all programmes.

Click on Student Portal
Click on Register for application at the top left of the display page to proceed.
Enter your information correctly, immediately your ID and Password will be displayed on the browser.
On the "https://uniben.waeup.org" click on ‘Login’ (top right of front page).
Enter your Username and the password to login.
To start the application process, please click on ‘Application record’, provide all required information and upload your passport photograph
Upload a RECENT and CLEAR “1x1” COLOUR PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WITH RED BACKGROUND IN JPEG FORMAT ONLY. NOTE that the photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the University of Benin. FAILURE TO UPLOAD THE SPECIFIED PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION and failure/forfeitures of admission.

(ii) Candidates interested in taking a practical CBT Test, should visit UNIBEN Website-www.uniben.edu. This is optional.
Application website closes by 12th Octber, 2015 (i.e. all applications must be concluded online not later than 24th September, 2015). Candidates who pay after the deadline will not sit for the examination.

Entrance Examination
Admission into various programmes shall be through entrance examination to be conducted on Friday, 16th and Saturday 17th of October, 2015. The Screening test shall be computer-based.
However, there will be no Entrance Examinations for some programmes. Admission into such programmes will be based on the general requirements approved by the Senate.
** Note that Past Questions for practicing (optional) are available for purchase by willing candidates at a moderate cost of Five hundred naira (N500:00) only in the Central Entrance Examinations Committee (CEEC) Office, Main Auditorium, University of Benin. Payment is made at the Cash Office, Bursary Department, Uniben.

Instructions
1. Login to the Post-UTME portal with your JAMB registration number and password
2. Check your admission status
3. Successful candidates should upload a scanned copy of O’Level results in JPEG format only (Maximum of two results)
4. Pay acceptance fee of N10,300 using REMITA services (card or bank payment)
Card Payment: Select your card payment type - VERVE or VISA or MASTERCARD, Click on "Pay with Remita" button, Enter your card details, and Confirm your payment
OR
