The Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano, Prof. Muhammad Yahuza
Bello, has disclosed that the institution will admit only 25% of
admission seekers this year.
Bayero University Kano (BUK) will
admit about twenty five per cent of this year’s post-UTME candidates
seeking admission into the institution.
According to him, over
20,000 candidates out of the several thousands who have chosen BUK as
their first choice scored the minimum 180 points in their JAMB UTME.
He
further stated that all those who sat and passed the minimum PUTME
points of 160 would be automatically admitted, but not necessarily the
course of their choice.
Adding that over 700 out of those that
applied for MBBS have all passed the exams, but the admission capacity
for the programme was just 130, therefore the remaining candidates would
be sent to other science related courses and this applies to all
programmes.
