According to a reliable source, the students are angered by the claim that the school spend nine million naira to pay electricity bill and another three million naira on diesel on a monthly basis.
They claimed there is no justification for such huge expenses as the school is always in darkness, occasioned by lack of electricity supply.
As at the time of filing this report the school is still under lock and key. The appeal by the principal of the institute, Mrs. N’Denar were rebuffed by the protesters, who are demanding an assurance from higher authorities.
Lecturers and other management staff are stranded outside the school premises.
This is the second time in three years that the students will be staging protest due to lack of electricity supply and portable water on campus.
