Fayose expresses satisfaction with election

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Ayo Fayose, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the June 21 election.

Fayose who spoke through his Media Aide, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, commended the security agencies for their role in the smooth conduct of the election.

He said, “The election went fine. It was devoid of rancor and acrimony. There was no harassment or intimidation of voters. Even where there were harassment and intimidation of voters by the APC, the security agencies were able to bring it under control.

“The presence of security agencies enabled the election to hold in the way it should be,” he added.

 Efforts to reach the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Segun Dipe, proved abortive.

As at 1 a.m on Sunday, calls placed to his cellphone were not answered.

The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Kayode Fayemi, Olayinka Oyebode, could also not be reached for comments.

Mr. Ahmed Salami who is the Media Aide to the Labour Party Governorship candidate, Mr. Opeyemi Bamidele, did not also pick his calls.
