Keshi Won’t Promise Victory Over Bosnia

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has said he is not God to promise victory against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday in continuation of the World Cup in Brazil.

African champions Nigeria were disappointing as they were pegged back by Iran in their opening Group F match on Monday and would need to boost their hopes of qualifying for the knockout rounds of Brazil 2014 with a win over debutants Bosnia on Saturday night in Cuiba.

But Keshi has maintained he will not promise victory in this game because he is just an ordinary coach and not God.

“I’m not God, I’m just a coach and I will do what I have to do and that’s it,” the Eagles coach answered when asked about his expectations for Saturday.

“Even the best coaches in the world cannot tell you they will win before the game.

“We will try to prepare ourselves, we will work together and see what happens.

“We saw (the surprise from) Costa Rica, we saw (another surprise) Holland and Spain. With football you never can tell, whatever comes my way, I will take it.”

Saturday’s clash will be the first meeting between both countries.

Bosnia will also be angling for a result on the day after they impressed, but still lost their opening group game 2-1 to Argentina.
