A foreign national working with Retro Construction company in Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State, who was kidnapped by some gunmen, has been freed by members of the Special Task Force.
Our correspondent gathered the he victim, said to be a Lebanese was kidnapped at the construction site of the company.
Media Officer for STF, Capt. Ikedichi Iweha, who confirmed the development to our correspondent in Jos on Monday, said that the victim had been handed over to his family.
He said the STF also arrested one of the suspects in the kidnap saga, while efforts are being intensified to apprehend his collaborators.
Iweha said, “I can confirm to you that the foreign national who was kidnapped in Langtang over the weekend has been freed by combined efforts of the STF and sister agencies and he is right now resting with members of his family.
“We are also making efforts to arrest his collaborators in the heinous act and we will brief the press on the development at the appropriate time.”
