Project Fame singer, Chidinma; Waje, Ikechukwu MI and Ara, are among some of Nigeria’s popular musicians expected to perform on Saturday at an event titled Sing Out Childhood Cancer.
The school awareness competition on cancer is taking place in Lagos and is being organised by the Children Living with Cancer Foundation.
Founder of the foundation, Dr, Nneka Nwobbi, was quoted in a statement as saying the event would witness doctors teaching pupils about the signs and symptoms of childhood cancers and how to avoid them.
According to the statement, proceeds from the event will be channelled towards procuring chemotherapy drugs for affected children in the Lagos University Teaching Hospital) Idi-Araba, Lagos.
The programme, holding in GRA, Ikeja, will feature about 12 schools.
