NDU: 3 killed as Rival Cult Groups Clash

Three students of Niger Delta University (NDU) have been reported killed in a clash between rival cult groups in the school.

The cult groups recognized as AY and Vagas unleashed terror on themselves and the entire university community during the second semester examination.

It was learnt that this resulted in the death of a 300L engineering student and two final year students.

According to a source, the 300L student was attacked right inside the examination hall. The attackers left several matchet cuts on the victim who later died in a hospital.

Also one of the final year students was said to have been attacked and shot dead inside the examination hall by suspected cultists numbering eight.

The Commissioner of police in Bayelsa who confirmed incident of cult activities in the school however said he has no knowledge of any death so far.

The school authorities could not be reached at the time of filing this report to comment on this.
