Heavy rainfall that has swept most parts of China’s northern and southwestern regions will abate in the next three days, good news for holiday travelers, the meteorological authorities said on Saturday.
Most regions in China will brace for cloudless day since Sunday but rainy weather will continue to be seen in Xinjiang, Yunnan, Hainan and Jilin, according to the forecast of the National Meteorological Center (NMC).
A cold front hit China at the beginning of the National Day holiday from Oct. 1, triggering rain and drop in temperature.
The NMC also warned of strong northerly winds caused by typhoon Phanfone in most parts of the East China Sea and northeastern waters of the South China Sea.
