Steps

Think. What would be a really cool thing to have? What would make people's lives easier?

Look around. Look for things or refer to things you love. How could you improve that? Add another function? Combine it with another thing? You decide!

Draw it. If you are serious about your invention, draw a detailed diagram of it.

Be sure it is safe. What would it be doing to the environment? Would there be any health effects?

Find out how your invention would work or be manufactured. Again, if you are serious, don't just guess. Research it on the internet or in your public library. If it is inspired by anything, find out how it works and then try to improve it's function. For example, if you were to invent giant bird wings that would actually allow a human being to fly, You might research a bird's body weight in comparison to the bird's wings, the feather amount, the placement of the feathers, and how the wing moves.

Remember, you don't wait for your dreams to happen, you MAKE them happen. Never give up! Get some help, because nobody can do everything alone.
