Female worker stabs colleague to death in Aba

A female worker identified as Miss Chiamaka Osondu, 30, who works in a local custard manufacturing factory in Aba has been arrested by Policemen  from Ndiegoro Division for allegedly stabbing her colleague, Miss Chizoba Nwachukwu, 22, to death with a knife.

According to reports, the factory located at 18, Adimora Street in Aba South Local Government Area of Abia State was deserted by other workers shortly after the incident when it became clear that their colleague was dead.

It was gathered that the Chiamaka had been absenct from work for two weeks and within the period of her absence, the deceased was making use of a plastic rubber that belongs to her colleague which the suspect didn’t like on resumption.

A source who didn’t want to be mentioned for fear of being victimized said: “On Monday, when Chiamaka resumed work unannounced, she met Chizoba using her plastic rubber to mix custard. She confronted her.
It was while they were exchanging words that Chizoba hit her with something on her cheek and in retaliation, Chiamaka stabbed her on the neck with a sharp object which resulted to bleeding and her death.”

It was  gathered that the victim fled the scene after she noticed that her colleague was gasping for breath. She was said to have died before help could come her way.
Contacted, Geoffrey Ogbonna, Abia State Police Public Relations Officer, said he was yet to be informed of the incident.
