Mimiko lauds cleric over N20m children’s ward

Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has commended the General Overseer of the Christ Living Apostolic Ministry, Pastor Wole Oladiyun, for donating N20m to the Children’s Ward at the General Hospital, Ile-Oluji.

In a statement made available to our correspondent on Friday, the governor, while inaugurating the ward, lauded the cleric for his thoughtfulness and sense of responsibility to his community, particularly in the area of health care.

He appealed to other well-meaning indigenes of the state to complement government’s efforts in its bid to take the socio-economic standard of the state to the next level.

Mimiko said his administration would remain committed to its Health Revolution Programme which continues to make the state better and healthier.

“My vision is that by 2015, at least 20,000 of the estimated 30,000 deliveries in Ondo State will be catered for in the four Mother and Child Hospitals in the state and the remaining 10,000 children will be distributed among the peripheral Abiye Centres and the private centres,” he added.

Oladiyun said that the ultra-modern children ward was to complement government’s efforts and assist the people of his community. He appealed to other indigenes of the community to rally round for the development of the community.

The State commissioner for health, Dr. Dayo Adeyanju, noted that the gesture was in line with the vision of the present administration to boost maternal and child health in the state.
