UNIABUJA VC Restrained From Office by the Industrial Court

The industrial court has given an injunction that prohibits the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Micheal Adikwu from functioning in his office.

This was a the result of the application tendered to the industrial court by Dr. Raji Rasheed and two other lecturers in the institution implying irregularities in the appointment of the new VC as 13-member Governing Council of the university elected Prof. Adikwu as Vice Chancellor despite the fact that he came third in the screening process.

This was coming after some staff unions in the school have endorsed the appointment of the new VC.
