Kwara PDP members pledge support for Jonathan

Members of the People’s Democratic Party in the Ilorin West Local
Government Area of Kwara State   on Sunday have pledged their
unalloyed support for President Goodluck Jonathan in his re-election
bid.

The PDP members also appealed to the national leadership of the party
to ensure that justice is maintained in the just concluded delegates’
congress held in the state and in the LG particularly.

The members were led by their spokespersons, Alhaji Toyin
Olosasa, Mr. Aliyu Ibrahim, Alhaji Bio Ibrahim and Mallam Hassan Jaji
during  a peaceful protest against the alleged attempt  to manipulate
the delegates’ lists.

The aggrieved members carried placards with different  inscriptions
such as “Bring back our real delegate lists; No to injustice, this
conspiracy cannot, work among others.”

They claimed that the results of the delegate congress  had been seen
in other 15  LGA of the state  while that of Ilorin West , according
to them, is still inconclusive.

The spokespersons warned PDP members not to take the laws into their
hands and appealed to  them to continue to explore legal means for the
actualization of their interests.

Ibrahim  said, “We want to categorically state here that their antics
are known to us and we shall resist them in its entirety in the
interest of the good and committed people of our great party. If truly
Mr. President is interested in winning election in Kwara, let him
intervene and put a meaningful end to this injustice and politics of
self interest.”
