President not fair to Middle Belt

Coordinator of the Federation of Middle Belt People, Mr. Manasseh Watyil, said though the region would support President Goodluck Jonathan if he seeks re-election next year, he has not performed well.

Watyil said the region was aware of the fact that the President was confronted with security challenges, but he was trying to please the North at the expense of the Middle Belt people.

The coordinator said the Middle Belt would only vote for Jonathan because the region is at logger heads with the core North

He said, “The assessment of Middle Belt of Jonathan administration is alright, but what we are saying is that Middle Belt did not benefit from his administration.

“He will only have the sympathy of the Middle Belt because we are at logger heads with the core North. Our position is the devil you know is better than the angel you do not know.”
