No fewer than 5,000 post-graduate students of the Ahmadu Bello
University (ABU), Zaria at the weekend registered as an official student
of the institution.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chancellor of
the university, Professor Ibrahim Garba, said the institution was
intensifying efforts toward improving delivery of various postgraduate
programmes of the school.
Garba said: “As a new administration, the
task of repositioning the university to regain its glory as a centre of
academic excellence has commenced in earnest. In our bid to improve the
delivery of PG Studies, regulations governing higher degree studies have
recently been revised. Postgraduate studies would be a focal point in a
bid to make ABU one of the best universities, therefore, all hands must
be on deck in order for this task to be achieved.”
