Asup to hold a mini NEC meeting next week

ASUP to hold mini NEC meeting next week; The strike might be called off then, says ASUP Chair.

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP) will holds a mini NEC meeting/ workshop next week in Nassarawa State. According to Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti Chapter's Chairman, Comrade Tunji Owoeye, the Union will meet next week in Nassarawa State for a workshop/mini NEC meeting where all Chapters Chairman will be present. He also said the 10 months old strike might be called off during the mini NEC meeting as the strike issue is part of their Agenda.

Speaking further, Owoeye described the recent intervention of the House of Representative Members as a right development. He said, "the issue of ASUP/ COESU strike was raised on the floor of the
 2 days ago, the House is now really involved". He also said the Federal Government had constituted a Committee to look into the issue of HND/BTech in which the National President of ASUP is a
member.
