Learn How to Make a Handy Kit

Have you ever forgotten something you really needed at home? Of course you have! So, why not make your own handy kit and always have what you need? Here is how.

N.B For more information and updates visit www.campusflava.com

 Steps
  1. 1
Brainstorm some things you might want for your kit. For example, an outdoors person might find matches handy, but a business person might find breath mints more useful.
  2. 2
Get an Altoids tin, or similar shaped tin. Wash it out and dry it to prevent rust.
  3. 3
Strategically place your items in the kit.
  4. 4
If you don't have enough room, get some rubber bands. These will keep the lid closed. For this purpose, you can get the small, wide, thick bands that come with broccoli.
  5. 5
Close your case via the rubber bands or by itself. Once the rubber bands are on, you can use them to affix items to the tin's exterior, such as a flashlight, duct tape strips, and hand wipes.
  6. 6
Put your kit somewhere handy, such as a purse, pocket, or backpack.
  7. 7
Make others. Why not make one for your kids, too? You can include things such as money for emergency phone calls, bandages, etc.

Tips
  • Always carry it around; it defeats the purpose if you leave it at home!
