Free surgeries to children by Okoku Foundation

The Greater Tomorrow Foundation has entered into a strategic partnership deal with foremost surgeon Dr. Seidu Bello to offer free surgeries to less-privileged children in rural areas of Nigeria.

The founder and former AFCON silver medal winner, Paul Okoku said that it was his belief that any attempt to give back to the society without providing healthcare was incomplete.

Okoku, a member of the Flying Eagles team to the first FIFA U-20 World Cup in Mexico in 1983 said that he was moved to enter into the partnership with Dr. Seidu because of many cleft cases that pervade the length and breath of the nation, adding further that with the kind support of corporations and wealthy Nigerians the scourge of the diseases would be drastically reduced if not totally eradicated from the society.

While commending Dr. Seidu for his sterling contributions in the area of healthcare delivery to indigent Nigerians, Okoku said that he was confident that a new dawn will soon be ushered into the lives of suffering patients, who he called to come out in their droves when the train of the foundation hits their towns and villages any moment from now.

Dr. Seidu said that he was moved with Okoku’s passion for helping the less-privileged in the society, noting that if everyone was thinking like this the lives of patients suffering with deformities will be reduced if not eradicated.

He encouraged Okoku to stay committed to the cause, stating that the task was tough but surmountable, adding that his involvement was going to spark others to join in the crusade to provide better healthcare services to indigent Nigerians.

“The lives of these people will have been different for very good reasons if people are thinking like Paul Okoku. I am glad that you have joined our health train and hope that this partnership will help the cause of humanity,” Dr. Seidu said.
