Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State on Wednesday inaugurated an electronic library worth N47 million for the use of the College of Health Technology in Ilesa.
Aregbesola said at the inauguration that the gesture was to provide an environment conducive for learning and research.
The governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Health, Dr Temitope Ilori, said a prototype of the library had also been provided for the Schools of Nursing and Midwifery in Osogbo.
According to him, the purpose of the facility is to bring the standard of training in the school to a competitive level.
On health, he said his government had also contributed to the welfare of health workers through a salary scale known as CONMESS and CONHESS.
Dr Rafiu Isamotu, the Special Adviser to the governor on Health, urged students to make the best use of the library and its facilities.
NAN reports that the library is equipped with books, furniture and computer sets, among other facilities.
