87 Staff of Federal University Dutse for Postgraduate Training

The management of Federal University Dutse (FUD), Jigawa State, has concluded plans to sponsor 87 academic staff of the university for post-graduate studies within and outside the country in various disciplines.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Jibrilla Dahiru Amin, who made this disclosure said that out of the 87 beneficiaries, 50 are pursuing PhDs while 37 are for masters degree programmes.

He said the university makes training of staff a cardinal point of its existence, adding that non-teaching staff too have benefited from the exercise.

This innovation, the VC said will increase the teaching standard within the institution as the lecturers will impart latest ideas in their chosen fields to their students after the training.
