FUWukari Scam Notice to Prospective Candidates – 2015/16

The Management of the Federal University Wukari (FUW) hereby disassociates itself from recent advertisements on some websites purporting to be Federal University Wukari Admission websites. These websites are soliciting from unsuspecting members of the public to make payments into certain account numbers. Some of these fraudulent websites are www.topix.com/nigeria forum; www.nairaland.com/forum; www.naijafinder.com;www.lagos.adsafrica.com.ng; www.allstudies.org; etc.
These fraudsters also ask the public especially unsuspecting candidates who sat for the 2015/16 post UTME into FUW to call certain cell phone numbers for assistance, admission processing and updates. A case in point is that of a syndicate of fraudsters including Agbo Ernest the account holder of First Bank Nig. Plc account number 3075716380 who first send sms to candidates to call GSM line 0812****** for assistance to get admission into FUW. Thereafter, they go into negotiations with the candidates to pay money ranging between N10,000 and N50,000 into the above mentioned account to ease their admission into FUW. Some candidates have actually paid money into the said account. However, the management of FUW has reported the case to the police for investigation.
The Management of FUW wishes to inform the general public that the above cited websites and those sending sms, among others, neither belong to, nor represent or are agents of FUW.
The Management of FUW further reiterates that it shall not be liable for any transaction entered into with these fraudsters. The general public is thereby notified to desist from dealing with them regarding admission into FUW or any other transaction connected with FUW.
Anybody who pays or has paid money to any private bank account or to any person(s) as agent(s) of FUW does so or has done so at his or her own risk.
All information regarding admissions into Federal University Wukari (FUW) can be accessed through www.fuwukari.edu.ng.
