Umaru Musa Yar'adua University

The university was established by the then executive governor of Katsina state and the now president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar'adua in fulfillment of his laudable determination to develop the states education sector commensrate with strategic importance as the vertible foundation for the progress and prosperity of our people our state and indeed Nigeria. The successful establishment of the state University was the befitting culmination of a comprehensive programme of rehabilitation,renovation,upgrading, expansion and provision of higher quality education embarked by the Umaru Yar'adua administration.
Umar Musa Yar'Adua University is ranked 65 in Nigeria according to National Universities Commission, the universities regulatory body in Nigeria.
