Mr. Osaro Edeghonghon, a member of the National Youth Service Corps, was
during the weekend murdered by unknown men at a drinking spot along the
Benin–Auchi road Ekpoma at about 9.00am.
Report had it that the NYSC member while leaving the drinking spot was
followed by the men, on sensing danger, he took to his heels but could
not get far before they caught up within him and shot at him several
times.
Mr Patrick Edeghonghon the father of the deceased, has showed
displeasure over how the police is handling the case and called on the
State Commissioner of Police ,Mr Folusho Adebanjo, to ensure justice by
intervening in the matter.
