FG Declares May 29th a Public Holiday

The federal government has declared Friday May 29, 2015 as public holiday to celebrate the 2015 Democracy Day.

This was made nown by the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, on Monday, in a statement signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Magaji.

He urged Nigerians at home and diaspora to support the incoming government and pray for the success of Nigeria’s democratic process.

He also used the opportunity to congratulate President Goodluck Jonathan and Nigerians for the successful conduct of the 2015 general election.

The minister finally congratulated the president-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on his electoral victory, and wished his administration “goodluck.”
