Indecent Dressing Within The School Premises: KWARAPOLY Fights


Kwara State Polytechnic Fights indecent dressing urging student to dress properly if they want to avoid embarrassment from the school authority

It is said that “you are addressed by the way you dress”

The school authorities made some list of prohibited dressing in the school premises and punishment;
LIST OF PROHIBITED INDECENT DRESSING IN KWARA STATE POLYTECHNIC

*Transparent dresses or attire which debases womanhood and indeed manhood.

*Extremely short blouses and armless dresses showing part of the burst, navel and lower back.

*Sleeveless spaghetti blouses.

*Tight fitting dresses that reveal the contours of the body.

*Abnormal applications of face powder, mascara and lipstick.

*Jerry curling of the hair, wearing of wig and earrings by male students.

*Wearing of T- Shirts with obscene graffiti and inscriptions.

*Wearing of long and tight skirts which are opened in front or at the sides, revealing sensitive parts as the wearer moves on.

*Any other dresses , applications, wearing or inscriptions that are deemed to be revealing, obscene, absurd and considered to be indecent by Dress Code Committee of the Kwara State Polytechnic.
IMPORTANT NOTE TO OFFENDERS

IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT OFFENDERS WOULD BE SANCTIONED DEPENDING ON THE GRAVITY OF THE OFFENCE AS HIGHLIGHTED BELOW:

*A first time offender will be booked and counseled as appropriate. A copy of the list of those cautioned will be forwarded to the Registry.

*A second time offender will pay a fine of One Thousand Naira (N1,000.00) only to a designated Bank and fill the Offender’s Form.

*A third time offender will appear before the students’ Disciplinary Committee and a proof of guilt will earn the affected student(s) one semester suspension.

*A hardened offender, with a proof of intransigence will be recommended to the Polytechnic Management for expulsion.
