A final year student of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo State,
Timilehin Akinsiku was reported to have slumped and died during an
excursion to a tourist centre, Erin-Ijesa waterfall in Osun State with
other students and executive members of the Student Union Government,
SUG, of the institution.
It was learnt that at a point during the
excursion Timilehin complained of tiredness (though he was not the only
one that was tired) while they were descending a hill.
He
finally slumped and created panic among the students who tried to offer
some first aid treatment. However, this could not revive him and left
them with no other option but to take him to the closest hospital.
Efforts
to revive him at the hospital equally proved abortive as he was later
confirmed dead by the medical personnel who attended to him at the
hospital.
