UNIPORT Admission for 2014/2015 MEng/PhD in Engineering Management, MSc/ MEng in ICT Management

The above-named graduate programmes are provided by the , Technology and Innovation Management(METI),University of Port Harcourt through a co-operative agreement with the University of Pretoria’s Graduate School of Technology Management. The professional programmes aim to provide Sciences, Engineering and Technology, (SET) oriented graduates with sound and sustainable management principles to engender appropriate behavioural preferences that wil increase the chance of successful scientific, engineering and technology related l ventures.

The curricula for theabove named programmes emphasize the networking significance of systems of invocation. Learning will be facilitated by Lecturers from the University of Port Harcourt, University of Pretoria, as well as experts drawn from the industry and public services both in Nigerian and abroad.

Each domain programme consists of six common and two electives modules, plus a substantive Research Project. Study materials are inclusive and each module is delivered in a block-release mode, moderated by an international External Examiner. On completion of a programme of study, each graduate should, among other skills, be able to:

Conduct due diligence, risk and techno-economic evaluation and valuation of SET situations.

Supervise and manage multidisciplinary SET project.

Adopt innovative behaviour towards sustainable management of SET facilities.

DURATION:

M.Sc/M.Eng. study may be completed within 24 months and PhD in not less than 36 months. Depending on entry qualification, a successful candidate shall receive the MSc/Eng/PhD degree AWARDS: awarded by the University of Port Harcourt and endorsed by the University of Pretoria.

Candidates may be presented for accreditation and/or registration PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION: with relevant professional associations, e.g. Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Candidates must posses a minimum of Bachelor’s degree, 2nd Class ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Honours (Upper Division) in Engineering, Technology or Physical Sciences.

Consideration many be given to sponsored employees with 2nd Class Honours(Lower Division) with minimum of 3 years working experience in a supervisory position.

A non-refundable application fee of N20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira) payable in a certified Bank Draft should be made to the Institute of Engineering, Technology and Innovation Management, University of Port Harcourt.


Completed Application Forms with Bank Draft must be returned to the METI Office, ETF Building Abuja Park, University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
