A first year National Diploma student of Delta State Polytechnic,
Ozoro, Delta State, who has been terrorizing the polytechnic for his
egregious activities has been apprehended by the security operative for
allegedly being in possession of a locally made pistol.
It was
gathered that the suspect, a member of a gang of armed bandits was
arrested by the security team attached to the institution while trying
to escape with others now at large.
Sources said the security
team which acted on a tip off, rounded up the hoodlums in their hideout
where the suspect, who is a student in the Department of Business
Administration, was found to be in position of the pistol and was later
handed over to the police.
It was learnt that the suspect had
made a confessional statement which has been handed over to State
Criminal Investigation Department, CID, for further investigation.
