UDUSOK Lose Final Year Student

Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto community have been thrown into mourning following the death of a 400L student of Economics, Sadam Ahmed Achida.

We gathered that Achida died on Thursday, April 29, 2015 around 10:00a.m. shortly after writing his examination.

Yasin, 300l English Language student who made this know to our correspondent, described the late Achida as a well-respected and hard working person.

The death which came as a shock to the students cause a palpable tension in the institution.

Yasin, said that he noticed that during the examination, two of his friends accompanied him into the exam hall because he came to write his papers from the hospital.

A close friend of the late Achida, Ma’aji Akilu, who was in company of other friends that brought him to school said Achida had fallen ill and was admitted at the hospital for close to two weeks before his death.

Achida is an indigene of Achida in Wurno Local Government Area of Sokoto State. He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.

A staff of the university, who Preferred Anonymous , described the incident as shocking to the university, adding that the late Achida was a dedicated and hard working student of the university.
