Shell Donates N45m Worth of Engineering Equipment to FUTO

The Shell Development Petroleum Company foremost oil and gas multi-national has donated engineering equipment worth over 45 million naira to the University. The Company has been funding and supporting a Professorial chair in FUTO. A seasoned and experienced academic and a Professor of Petroleum Engineering, Prof. B. Obah is the occupier of the Chair in FUTO.

The company conveyed the news of the donation of Mud Petroleum Engineering Equipment valued at N45, 000,000.00 in favour of the Professorial Chair Laboratory in FUTO.

In his response to the donation, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Chigozie C. Asiabaka thanked the company for its continued sponsorship and funding of the Chair which has improved teaching, research and development activities in the critical sector of the nation’s economy.
      
This landmark donation would enhance teaching and research in the department as well as foster our students' workforce preparedness in the field of Petroleum Engineering.
