PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu said the lost glory of the party had been restored under his leadership, while the defection of notable party members to the opposition had been stopped.
Mu’azu made this known at the 65th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The chairman said the party had also been able to provide two formidable candidates for the forthcoming Ekiti and Osun governorship elections.
He added that it would reconstitute the board of the Peoples Democratic Institute.
According to him, NEC is also expected to approve the final draft copy of the party`s constitution.
He said the final copy of the constitution would have security features to prevent unauthorised persons from duplicating it.
Mu’azu said the party’s zonal rally for Port Harcourt and Ibadan would hold before the Muslim Ramadan, adding that members of the party who defected last year were returning enmass to the party.
The NEC meeting was attended by party chieftains, Board of Trustee members, PDP governors, the Senate President and the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives.
