UNILAG To Soon Offer Graduate Courses in Petroleum Engineering

The management of University of Lagos has said that it is making effort to upgrade its facilities and human resources to offer graduate courses in Petroleum Engineering.

This was made known by the Head, Department of Chemical Engineering, Prof. Adetokunbo Denloye, when a delegation from the PTDF led by its Executive Secretary, Olufemi Ajayi, visited the university on Monday.

According to him, the institution intends to achieve this with the support of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund.

“We intend to commence master’s and doctorate programmes in Petroleum Engineering. We are in the process of recruiting more staff, especially at the higher level, so that we can have someone who can provide academic leadership in the department.

We are currently in the process. The position has been advertised and right now we are in the review process and hopefully, before the end of this year, we should be through with that,” he said.
