Mayhem in Federal Government College (FGC), Kazaure, Jigawa State.,
as six of the students Hotels, was gutted by fire on Thursday 22
January.
It was reported that the fire outbreak started at 9.00 am. while students were in their respective classes.
Scores
of students of the Federal Government College (FGC) have been left
stranded after fire gutted and destroyed their hostel.
Confirming
the ugly incident, the state Commandant of the Nigeria Security and
Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the state, Mr Muhammad Gidado, said that
three of the hostels were burnt on Wednesday, around 9.00 a.m. while the
students were in their respective classes.

3.00 a.m making six hostels that were affected in the inferno
The commandant noted that no life was lost, but properties belonging to the students were destroyed by fire.
As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the inferno is still unknown.
Students’ laptops, books, electrical appliances, clothes amongst a raft of personal items were totally decimated in the fire.

Nkem, a student of the institution who spoke on behalf of students said
the damage has been done, goods worth millions of naira were destroyed.
