Tears As UNIZIK Students Mourn Dead Colleague

The students of Accountancy department, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka went round the campus yesterday to mourn their departed colleague who died in an accident on the 17th of January, 2015.
The students, who had declared the day lecture free, dressed in black, and walked round the main campus of the institution singing dirges and in tears.

The dead student Mrs Joy Nwakaego Maduka, a 300 student of the department from Okija passed away in a fatal road accident.

The president of the Students Union Government, Comrade Noble Eyisi identified with the Accountancy students to mourn their department friend as he personally led the procession at some intervals.

The students all clad in Blacks took off from their faculty Management sciences through Mass Communication department to Economics down to Boys Hostel. Then from Law faculty, they proceeded to the Administrative block of the institution.

Comr. Eyisi stated that anything that affects any student in the institution should be a matter of concern to all hence his participation in the procession. He further supported the department with a token for condolence.
