How to Be a Better Soccer Player

Soccer is a fun sport for all ages to enjoy! Whether you are playing for a school team or just for the fun of it, I have some tips that will help you become the best soccer player you can be!

Steps

    1
ALWAYS keep an eye out for who you'll be passing the ball to next. You need to make sure your teammates are open before you make a pass or else you may accidentally end up giving the ball to the other team! :/
    2
"Communication is the key!" Always talk with your fellow teammates during the game. This will help increase your chances of scoring goals.
    3
"Come on dog, don't be a ball hog!" Whether or not you are named captain of the soccer team, you must always pass the ball to your teammates when necessary. This will help you score a lot more and avoid future problems!
    4
When you kick the ball, you must use the inside of your foot. If you kick it with your toe, you don't have control on your aim, and the ball will go higher than what you want.
    5
"Remain Calm!" If your team is losing, you must remain calm. If the other team sees you getting nervous/anxious this will give them the advantage and you don't want that!
    6
Lastly, have fun! Don't get to caught up on winning! Soccer should be a fun sport.

 Tips

If you want to trick a defender, try a scissor kick or another trick! ;)
Fake a pass to delay the opposing team for a few seconds.
Make sure you wear shin guards!! You don't want bruised shins! (We've all been there).

 Warnings

Never argue with the referee! This will make him less likely to be on your side.
Leave the trash talk at home! Trash talking is bad practice and if a ref sees it, he may give you a yellow card.
Don't foul anyone purposefully! This could result in free kicks and penalty kicks which could result in the other team scoring, yikes!

 Things You'll Need

    Soccer Ball
    Shin Guards
    Good Sportsmanship Attitude
