Steps

    1
Don't worry! This wonderful invention is to HELP you. It is an amazing piece of technology, and will not hurt you in any way.
    2
If the skin under your patches start to itch, just pat the plasters, or, if it is unbearable, and your doctor has allowed it, take the ECG and plasters off for no more than 10 minutes and have a shower or bath, and a good itch! Remember to put the ECG back on as soon as possible, and record that you have taken the thing off.
    3
Just think - wouldn't it be better to know, rather than have to wait and wonder? If you are having an ECG, then there is something that doctors just need, and it's reassurance and peace of mind that you are actually fine!
    4
Keep busy and take your mind off it. When you are doing something else, you won't be thinking about the itching, or being self-conscious. Just go out and have fun, because you deserve it.
    5
Wear baggy clothing that will hide the ECG monitor from view if you want.
    6
Talk. If you are worried, or concerned about the monitoring, just tell someone - it is totally natural to feel afraid and talking with someone will make you feel better.
