Edinburgh Business School Scholarships (£5,000) for International Students

The Victor H. Loewenstein Scholarship is awarded by the University of Edinburgh Business School to a student from outside the UK so as to enhance the international nature of the Edinburgh MBA programme.

The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and the benefits to the student.

One (1) award will be offered to the successful applicant

This will be a onetime financial award for your study program. An award may be withdrawn if a student fails to meet the academic standards set by the University.

Each scholarship will be worth £5,000. The scholarships will be deducted from the tuition fees.



CRITERIA

The scholarship is open to applicants who have an excellent academic record, who are applying for admission onto the 12 or 16 month Full-time MBA in September 2015. It is available to applicants who are citizens and residents of any country except the United Kingdom.

Applicants should already have been offered a place on one of the programmes, and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so. If they have not yet paid their deposit, they will be required to pay within two weeks of being offered the scholarship. Applicants who hold full sponsorships are not eligible for the scholarship.

If an applicant is successful in being awarded a scholarship, but subsequently declines their offer of admission on the MBA programme, the award of the scholarship will be withdrawn and awarded to another applicant. An award may be withdrawn if a student fails to meet the academic standards set by the University.

Applicants who are sponsored by their employer or are in receipt of a full scholarship are not eligible for these scholarships.

HOW TO APPLY

Candidates can only apply for a scholarship once they have received an offer (conditional or unconditional) to join the MBA programme and have either firmly accepted the offer or be intending to do so.

Eligible students who wish to be considered for this scholarship should submit a scholarship application form as soon as possible after receipt of an offer of a place on the MBA course of the University of Edinburgh Business School.

DEADLINES:
The application deadline date for this scholarship award is Sunday 31st of May 2015.

PLEASE NOTE:
You will be notified of the result of your scholarship application within a month of the deadline. To secure a scholarship, the successful applicant must have paid their programme deposit within two weeks of being offered the scholarship.

Recipients of scholarships will be expected to participate occasionally as ambassadors for the MBA programme and the Business School during and after their programme.

Victor H. Loewenstein is an alumnus of the University of Edinburgh. During his student years he was involved with AIESEC and was shortly after graduation elected Secretary General of AIESEC International, in Geneva. Now, retired after close to a 40 year-career in Management Consulting, Mr Loewenstein is happy to offer this support to an MBA student.

The University of Edinburgh Business School is the business school of the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. The university has offered business education since 1918, and the MBA degree since 1980. The business school is closely tied to the University of Edinburgh, which received its royal charter in 1582.
