OAU Law Students Emerges The Winner African Moot Court Competition Award

The competition is in its fourth year now with OAU winning the first and third editions previously.
The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Law Faculty won the Africa Regional Round of the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition held in South Africa.
The competition, which was based on a
hypothetical space law dispute before the
International Court of Justice; a “Case
Concerning Planetary Defense.” took place
in Pretoria with many African universities
participating.

The Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court
Competition yearly presents a unique
opportunity for African students to engage
in matters of public international law of
contemporary relevance to outer space and
allows law students interact in a unique
forum for intellectual and cultural
exchange.
The OAU team will now represent Africa at
the World Finals of the competition during
the International Astronautical Congress
(IAC), in Jerusalem, Israel between 12th and
16th October, 2015.
