In Our quest to actualize the Vision 1 of 10 in 10, Board of Regents has approved the adjustment of the University academic calendar in line with the practice of renowned world class universities
To this end, a 3-Semester academic session as part of our strategic plan to concretize our international collaborations and linkages as well as to further give full expression to our continuous drive for deepening quality and maintaining standard at the cutting-edge.

Over the years, the University has established active partnership and collaboration with several universities across Europe and United States of America as well as Africa. Such relationship will only continue to prosper if and when we are able to accommodate the interest of partnering institutions.
Please find below the details of the approved new structure:
The Structure
The new structure will operate with effect from the 2013/2014 academic session, and will take the following order:
Alpha Semester (First Semester) – August 4th – November, 30th 2013
Omega Semester (Second Semester) – January 5th – May 3rd 2014
Third Semester (Summer Semester) – May 18th – July 26th 2014
This arrangement provides a 5-week break after the Alpha semester as well as a 14-week summer holiday for Faculty and Students who do not wish to partake in the third semester window.
