How to Cope with Being Sick

Sick days seem like a pretty good deal. You get to sit home and watch TV all day, and you don't have to go to school. But sometimes we forget how boring it can be and how bad you feel.

Steps

    1
Take care of yourself. Drink fluids, lie down, take medicines, and wash your hands. If you don't, you'll just be sick longer.

    2
Consult your doctor for medication, so you can get better soon.

    3
Don't read too much if you have a headache. It will just make your headache that much worse.

    4
Call your friend if they're sick. You'll have fun talking and venting to each other.

    5
If you have a stomachache, avoid any programs relating to food. This should go without saying. Put a warm object on to keep your stomach feeling great and lie in a good position.

    6
Watch TV, listen to music or go on the computer. This won't cause headaches, and doesn't require moving, but remember that long times watching a screen may cause your eyes to tire and that will eventually cause headache.

 Tips

Remember, your health is your main priority.
Don't do anything that will make you feel nauseous or give you a headache.
Things which can make you nauseous are, for example, certain drinks such as soda and orange juice, walking around a lot, eating spicy and raw foods.
Always get a lot of rest even if you don't feel that tired! It's the number one way to cure the illness.
