Lagos University Teaching Hospital Begins Admission Into Community Health Officer’s Course for 2015/16 Session

Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates for admission into the Lagos State teaching Hospital community Health Officer’s Course for 2015/2016 academic session.

we gathered that the 2015/2016 session will commence in August, 2015.

Entry Qualification

    Holders of Diploma in Community Health with not less than two years post-qualification experience plus, five (5) credit level passes in SSCE (WASCE, NEW or GCE 0/1) at not more than two sittings, which must include: English Language, Mathematics and Biology/Health Science.
    Community Health Extension workers with five (5) years experience arid five (5) Credit level passes in SSCE (WASCE, NECO or GCE OIL) at riot more than two sittings, which must include: English Language, Mathematics and Biology/Health Science.
    Preference will be given to Community Health Extension Workers that have done the abridgement programme in Schools of Health Technology, for the award of Diploma in Community Health.
    Applicants must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners’ Registration Board of Nigeria and posses a valid practice license.

Duration of Course

This is a two (2) year Residential Course, leading to the award of Higher Diploma in Community Health by the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria and the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.

Location of Course

Most activities connected with the course, including lectures, will take place at the LUTH Primary Care Complex at Pakoto (Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State and the surrounding villages) except when it is necessary for students to go to LUTH, Idi Araba, Lagos for lectures

Test and Interview Date
Friday, 19th June, 2015.

Venue
Lecture Theater Block of the Institute of Child Health and Primary Care, LUTH PHC Complex, Pakoto, Ogun State.

Note: Further invitation to attend interview will not be issued.
Candidates should bring to the interview, originals of their credentials, letters of sponsorship from their Local Government/Institution and also Attestation letters from their employers stating that they will practice Primary Health Care at the end of the course. Successful applicants will be informed subsequently.
