Peace has returned to the Federal Polytechnic, Ado –Ekiti, after
unsettle academic calender owing to the perennial strike by the unions.
The Rector, Taiwo Akande, has promised to pay all outstanding dues.
The rector assured that the payment would include check-off dues owed the cooperative societies.
Akande made this know during a meeting with members of staff of the institution on Tuesday.
Akande,
who lamented the rate at which misinformation and falsehood were being
peddled by the erstwhile unions’ leaders of the polytechnic, said
arrangements have been concluded to pay all outstanding dues owed the
cooperatives arising from the implementation of the second phase of
CONTISS 15.
She added that the institution’s Governing Council,
acting within the powers conferred on it, took the decision to suspend
all unions’ activities on campus in good faith
