- 1From the main screen of the E-map Editor click on the “Add Map” button to create a new map
- 2Click on the “Rename” button to change the file name of the map.
- 3Type a new name to identify the map. For example “office”.
- 4Click on the map “Office” to import a floor plan in BMP, GIF or JPG format.
- 5Click on the “Load Map” button.
- 6From “Open” wizard select desire picture to be map floor plan.
- 7Double click on local host “Test 63” to expand the folder.
- 8The program will detect the number of cameras and I/O devices installed at the host and display the respective icons.
- 9Click and drag each cameras icon to its appropriate location on the floor plan.
- 10Right click on camera icon to change its orientation
- 11Select the appropriate direction from listed menu.
- 12Click and drag cameras in the map as you have in your location.
- 13Right click on the camera icon to change it into the PTZ dome icon by Select “Dome” from listed menu
- 14Click on the “Add Map” button to create an additional map inside the “Office” map.
- 15Repeat the steps from 2 to 6 to added maps.
- 16Click on the “Host Settings” button to add the remote host “Elevator”
- 17Click on “Host Settings” on “Host” menu to configure the remote host.
- 18On “Host Settings” wizard enter the “Location Name” and “IP Address” of the remote host. Here the “Location Name” is “Elevator”.
- 19Specify the number of cameras, I/O modules, inputs and outputs installed at the host, and define port numbers.
- 20Double click on the host “Elevator” to expand the folder.
- 21Click on the “Rename” button to change the camera icon name to related name to new map.
- 22Click and drag each camera and I/O icon onto the “Elevator” floor plan. Then modify icon type and orientation as mentioned previously.
- 23Click on “Save” to save the created E-Map files.
